Waterfall of the Gods & the healing powers of water - Private Tour
Description:
We drive to the waterfall of the gods, a majestic waterfall at the end of a scenic gorge carved out by the relentless power of nature. Iceland has many waterfalls, too many to count. Goðafoss is, despite all the others, my favorite. I is not the biggest, widest, or most powerful. It is my favorite since I have been going to it or past it since my very early childhood, and to me, it means home.
After experiencing Goðafoss, we venture back towards Akureyri, where we make a stop inside a mountain to find the source of the hot and healing water that we later soak in when we visit the exquisite Forest lagoon, a new and beautifully designed facility that captures what it means to be in Iceland and what water means to us. At the lagoon, a lovely little restaurant serves honest food, perfect after a day out.
