Goðafoss & The Christmas House: A Journey into Icelandic Wonder
Private Tour
A heartfelt glimpse into Iceland’s beauty and holiday spirit
Our day begins at Goðafoss — the “Waterfall of the Gods” — a place of beauty, legend, and deep personal meaning. It’s not the biggest or loudest of Iceland’s waterfalls, but for me, it feels like home. I’ve been visiting since childhood, and it holds a quiet power that captures the spirit of Iceland across generations.
After time to take in the falls and surrounding gorge, we’ll return toward Akureyri through the countryside where my family has lived for centuries. We’ll stop at the Christmas House — a charming place where it’s always the festive season. You’ll find unique ornaments, Scandinavian treats, and local crafts, all wrapped in Icelandic holiday spirit. I’ll share stories and customs from our Yule traditions — from the quirky to the heartfelt — to end our day on a warm and joyful note.
