Júlli - the tourguide

Hello!
I’m a lifelong Icelander with a deep love for this land and a passion for sharing it with curious travellers. I currently live in Akureyri in North Iceland, but over the years I’ve lived in many parts of the country — from remote fishing villages to the lively capital — and that variety gives me a unique perspective I love bringing into my tours.

My guests often tell me that my tours feel more like travelling with a local friend than a formal guide. I believe travel should be personal, memorable, and filled with moments you won’t find in a brochure — and that’s exactly what I aim to offer.

When I’m not guiding, I’m out exploring, researching new stops, and refining my routes — so even returning guests discover something new. Whether you're visiting for the first time or coming back for more, I’d be honoured to help you experience Iceland in a way that’s meaningful, flexible, and fun.

If you’re looking for a private tour with a knowledgeable local who’s genuinely passionate about what they do — I’d love to hear from you. Let’s make your Iceland trip unforgettable.

Inga - the one behind the scenes

Hi there!

I’m the person you’ll most likely hear from first when you get in touch with us. As both a social worker and the behind-the-scenes coordinator for our tour company, I bring a mix of empathy, organization, and a deep appreciation for meaningful travel into everything I do.

I handle bookings, email inquiries, and scheduling — making sure your trip is tailored, seamless, and stress-free from the very first message. My background in social work has taught me the importance of listening closely and understanding each person’s unique needs — something I carry into every conversation.

I’m Icelandic and, like him, I’ve lived in various parts of this beautiful country — from quiet villages to more bustling towns — which has only deepened my love for all the diverse corners of Iceland we get to share with our guests.

My husband and I have been working together in this business for over 10 years, and we’ve shared nearly 30 years of life together. We’re proud parents of three children — aged 26, 16, and 14 — and our oldest, our son, is also a tour guide. Our company is very much a family effort, built on shared values and a love for connecting people with the beauty of Iceland.

Whether you’re planning your first visit to Iceland or returning for another adventure, I’m here to help make your journey smooth, personal, and memorable. I’m proud to support my husband in sharing the beauty of our country with travellers from around the world, and I look forward to helping you plan something truly special.

Let’s start planning your Iceland experience!
